Unframed acrylic painting on canvas, "Series: Paisajes Sublimes", signed lower right Avila Gendis, and on verso.  (Pedro Avila Gendis, Cuba, Florida, b. 1959), pictured in the book "Pedro Avila Gendis, Shared Secrets", Artium Pub., Miami, 2016 at page 98, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity by Roberto J. Cayuso, Certificate Number 110666, size: 36" x 48", *Provenance: Private collection, Miami, Florida. Good Condition, apart from an approximate 1/2 inch paint loss, top left corner.

This was exhibited at the Kendall Art Centre in Miami, in September 2016, and a video of the exhibition, "Shared Secrets" by Pedro Avila Gendis, is available on Youtube, but we are not allowed to share the link.

Pedro Avila Gendis was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1959.  Initially, Avila studied at The School of Art in Cuba where he exhibited his works extensively.  Avila also held a number of successful exhibitions in New York, Miami, Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Washington D. C., Portugal and other venues around the world.

Avila has been called a modern day tropical abstract artist and is one of the most respected contemporary artists of his era. Avila has won a number of awards and his paintings, sculptures and public art pieces are displayed around the world.
