The top is 36 inches wide when the leaves are extended , a small wooden arm comes out of either side to hold the top up. This is an early KENTUCKY piece that I'm sure was loved. The turned legs and dove tail draws using popular secondary in the draws show the quality of the workmenship. the dark patina tells of centuries of use , but in nearly unheard of shape ,strong.
