The black fine wool jacket has a round cropped collar.  There are twisted braid epaulettes on the shoulders.  The front of the jacket is single breasted with 8 Clann Na Gael metal buttons. The front hem of the jacket is cut away at the lower part.  The sleeves have a velvet cuff with green braid trim.  There is no vent at the back of the jacket.
