Grades and Defects

-----------------

Premium

  • Hides are very nice and have a large clean area in the middle of the hide with no defects. The edges of the hide may have small holes or blemishes but the majority of hide is uninterrupted by imperfections.

Economy

  • Hides are still nice, but may have a couple of holes and defects on the hide.  There is a lot of usable leather on these hides but they didn't quite make the cut to be called premium.

Craft

  • These hides are more rustic, meaning hunters landed a few extra shots on the deer! The hides will have holes and other defects anywhere and might be oddly shaped. They are great for small or rustic projects.
