Just had all 3 components serviced. The only known issue is the balance knob on the c-1000 isn’t connected to the black ring around it. You can still adjust the black ring without the knob to control the balance. I have it set to the middle. Just spent $1500 having these three units professionally serviced. Below is all the work that was done.

Servicing just completed sept 10th 2023:

Luxman M-4000 Power Amplifer

-Cleaned out interior

-Replaced missing foot

-Cleaned switches.

-Cleaned corrosion board sockets. Applied deoxit.

-Removed all transistors and individually tested them. Reapplied thermal paste and remounted. Individually Tested all components on left driver board: PB-1018

-Replaced tantalum capacitor C307 that was selectively shorting with operation voltage.

-Replaced numerous fasteners, incorrect screws, stripped out heads, etc.

-Meter Backlight missing. Installed bridge rectifier and LED strip.

-Adjusted DC offset on both channels

-Adjusted bias on both channels

-Burn in test for 12 hours

Luxman T110 Tuner

-Replaced burned out backlight bulb

-Installed missing fasteners

-Tested for operation

-Cleaned spider nest out of IF coil

Luxman Control Center C-1000

-Cleaned switches and potentiometers extensively

-Found fuse had been bypassed. Replaced

-Replaced missing fasteners

-Tested for operation: AUX1, AUX2, Tuner, Tone controls, volume, attenuator

Note: to insure the safety of delivery, I will have these professionally packed and ship each component unit separately. The amplifier is extremely heavy and I don’t want any of the units being damaged. Thanks much
