*PLEASE NOTE - BANTAM COCHINS ARE NOT BRED LIKE OTHER BREEDS FOR LAYING.  SO EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE QUITE A FEW HENS, THEY ARE CYCLIC IN THERE LAYING. WE MIGHT GET 1 EGG A DAY, WE MIGHT GET 3 IN A DAY OR WE MAY GET 7.  IF THEY DON'T LAY ENOUGH IN A DAY OR TWO (AND IT GOES PAST WED) WE WILL KEEP COLLECTING AND SHIP OUT FRESH THE FOLLOWING MONDAY.  Thanks for understanding.

5 fertilized bantam size hatching eggs from a beautiful and friendly bantam cochin flock with possible Frizzle gene! (Frizzle isn't a breed, it's a genetic trait) NPIP certified through FL Dept of Ag.

This listing is for freshly laid hatching eggs, unwashed, with natural bloom.  Some may have a little speck of dirt here and there (these ones are penned together for safety, but they still lay in their tubs (which have a dirt floor) but we won't send ones that we feel wouldn't develop due to contamination. All eggs will be fresh. We collect eggs here daily.

There are no guarantees on what you will hatch (color or gender wise). This  listing is for someone who just wants to incubate some and end up with random cross color variety bantam cochins. Because our hens have two roosters with them, even though the black is the dominant one in the pen, the red still gets his chances snuck in.

THERE ARE RISKS WITH SHIPPED EGGS (especially if you have never incubated before, sometimes it's trial and error). There are no guarantees or returns on our eggs.  Shipping can be hard on eggs due to temperature, rough handling, and the time they spend in transit.  I have no control over the way you incubate, but suggest you watch the humidity and temperature, and have a good quality incubator. We have ordered plenty of shipped eggs and had success hatching (some 100% in a shipment), even from Oklahoma and Ohio (we're in FL), so distance isn't always an issue.

Eggs are shipped by USPS Priority Mail, Monday through Wednesday. Wednesday based on when I receive the order (our postal service usually picks up just before noon, and we're far enough from town that I would prefer they pick them up). Eggs ordered on Thursday through Sunday will not be shipped until Monday to make sure they don't sit to long over the weekend. Please message me if you would like to purchase shipping insurance (before you buy, at buyers expense) and that can be arranged.

Bantam Sized Breeds

Hens are

Buff, red, black (one is a frizzled), white (frizzled - she is our original gene passer), grey/silver (she's not frizzled but her feathers aren't smooth either), silver penciled, black birchens

Roo is Black

Bantam cochins are such a docile a curious friendly breed and make a wonderful pet chicken.  My daughter has won several chicken shows with her black roo, so he is show quality (and the females have placed well too).

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Wishing you blessings and luck with your eggs if you do order. Nothing cuter than freshly hatched little chicks.  NO INTERNATIONAL BIDS PLEASE. We do ship to Hawaii, but note it takes about 3 to 5 days for the eggs to arrive after they leave us. We've even shipped to Hawaii and had successful hatches. Any shipping overage will be refunded, (if shipping is less than charged).

If you purchase eggs, thank you for helping support an ongoing 4-H breeding sheep project!
