Pelikan Maki-e limited fountain pen Gofuku Bat M1000 Five Lucky Bats

The Pelikan Maki-e fountain pen "Gofuku Bat" is painted using the Togidashi Taka-Maki-e technique, which is a combination of Togidashi-Taka-Maki-e and Taka-Maki-e. In China, the word ``bat'' has been considered a symbol of happiness because its pronunciation is similar to ``bianfu,'' which means bringing good fortune. The ``bat'' pattern is an auspicious pattern that brings together all the five good fortunes (long life, wealth, good health, virtue, and good fortune), and there was a time when only noble people could wear it. In Japan, it was also considered a symbol of good luck, with the characters ``komori'' and ``komori''.

The Maki-e fountain pen ``Gofuku Bat'' has five bats drawn in Taka-Maki-e using techniques such as mother-of-pearl and kirigane. It also depicts five four-leaf clovers, which are said to bring good luck.
