  to enable easy opening of cover, rather than trying to get your finger nails down the small gap at the sides to open them.

Have your rear foot well storage lids collapsed?

My rear foot well storage cover collapsed, when I contacted Peugeot I was told that they were not designed to be walked on! (yet they are under your feet).  

I was then informed that you cannot just buy the replacement cover and that you can ONLY  purchase the complete unit at a cost of approx £550.00 per cover. this may vary as mine did at different dealerships. Don't take my word for it, give your local Peugeot dealer a phone call, and see how much they will quote you, for something that is out of view underneath your internal carpet. Then make your own mind up.

  I was certainly not prepared to pay this ridiculous amount of money, so I set about trying to find a cheaper solution and create an alternative option to this problem.

So this is the answer that I came up with?

These replacement cover's are hand made from a moisture resistant, strong, stable MDF material that will not collapse when walked/trodden on. and also has a nice tight fitting handle which aids opening the cover easily.

These are designed to fit straight in, to either side of your vehicle, and replace your collapsed lid with ease. 

The other option is:

Carry on buying the genuine parts at ridiculous prices, that just keep collapsing, as they will continue to do, until PEUGEOT do something about their unsatisfactory design, which will not happen, as they are making a lot of extra money at your expense.

The cost:

These are for sale at £15.50 each. + P&P  (No extra charge for additional cover's within the UK ) That is a saving of up to £525 on the quote that was given to me.  I have used these in my own car, please see the photos, with no problems at all.  I can assure you that It will be able to take the weight of a fully grown adult, with no bending.
