Find the answers to these questions and more in Learning from History: A bird's-eye view of the history of the British Isles. It was researched, written and designed by a Christian parent with an interest in producing materials for families in the training of their young.

This book is an attempt to bring back God, morality and values into the telling of the history of the nations occupying the British Isles—the United Kingdom and Ireland. Beginning at the Creation of the world and following the story of mankind chronologically, it aims to provide an overall view of British and Irish history from a biblical perspective.

It includes timelines, original quotes, Scripture verses and illustrations to supplement the text in showing how history cannot be adequately understood without considering man’s nature and its accountability to the laws of God.

It is written without apology from a biblical perspective in order to give young people in particular a platform upon which to form a biblical worldview that will help them to understand their present and face their future.

It aims to build up character rather than head knowledge, to sharpen common sense, to take caution from sin, to value what is good and to point towards revealed truth rather than exalt man’s guesses.
