embossed dark red/brown leather binding has wear, edge wear, rubbing/scuffing, dark spot bottom front corner.  gilt page edges.  endpapers have spots/soiling. old ownership  dates/signatures on blank page. (back of frontispiece) detached. inside hinge is cracked at title page just holding with threads. spots/yellowing on title page.. 288 pages with various amounts of spots/spotting scattered throughout the book.  still great reading, decorating.
