Glenys's new book is virtually a sequel to her first book Seeking the Sydney: A Quest for Truth. It takes up the Sydney story with the search for the grave of the unknown sailor on Christmas Island, in which she played a pivotal role. This in part led to her being invited to join the Finding Sydney Foundation, which in 2006 was actively fund raising in order to be able to mount a search.

The book relates the many obstacles to and final success of the eventual search. In March of 2008, our country finally knew via national television what had happened to our magnificent ship. But the 'why' question was not answered. A Commission of Inquiry led by Justice Cole attempted to answer this and the book also covers Glenys's involvement in this.

During all of these years, Glenys was undergoing her own personal tragedy as she watched her husband's struggles with dementia. She found it was impossible to tell the Sydney story without mentioning her own personal trauma as it was enmeshed in every page. This is a story of passion, persistence and deep love. The book brings a human element to an enthralling piece of Australian history.
