The blade has small blood grooves. It has a double edge, thick center spine and armor piercing tip. It's made in one piece. The blade has old water pattern (wootz) steel. It's a very fine pattern, clearly visible pattern. This type of tiger knife is very rare.
The handle is decorated with fine quality holy manuscript gold damascened inlaid mughal design calligraphy work. It has old wooden scabbard with red & brown combination velvet sheath.
the item is in its actual condition, and i am selling it as it is only, and pictures are parts of description. This is a very beautiful katar / tiger knife. It has a nice aging patina. A very good piece for a beginner's collection.
