Lillie Rubin was founded in 1946 in Miami, Florida. They are a specialty clothing chain, selling primarily special occasion and evening dresses. In 1990 the company was bought by Cache’, who added a sportswear line. In 2006 all the Lillie Rubin stores were closed or converted to Cache

Construction.

The chiffon fabric used to make this dress is a combination of both black with blue polka dot, (used in the body of the dress) and blue with black polka dot, used and fashioned with memory wire to make contrasting rosettes and curls that fall down the left side of the dress and around the hem edge.

With all over ruching of the main body of the dress, boning in the bodice, shoe string straps, this is a dress to remember. Body con styling, the dress fastens at the back with a long zipper gathering particularly over the bottom. Do you want to show off an hour glass figure. This is the dress.

This dress was slightly clipped to Doris. Labelled a size 4 which equates to an Australian 8.
