Gorgeous 1855 document issued by the General Land Office of the United States and Signed by then President of the United States of America James Buchanan. This particular war of 1812 land grant document was issued to the widow of a Louisiana Militia lieutenant who was KIA (Killed in Action) while serving in under Captain Landry in the Captain Landry Company during the conflict / war of 1812!

Service land bounty was awarded to Valery Hebert’s heirs for his dedication and ultimate sacrifice for the United States!
