Stunning, French Country, antique painted commode. Gorgeous color and patina of soft greenish blue with umber painted details. Painted moldings on a soft background, comprising three long drawers above a shaped apron and cabriole scroll feet, bearing later labels with title Camard stating 'Made in France', and with hand inscribed client name and reference numerals.

This elegant painted commode is an attractive example of French Country at its finest.
There is little information regarding Camard Furniture Company. The twentieth century labels are probably those of a transport/shipping company known as Camard.
