UNICORN, solid rose gold 9k, vintage mens watch, hand winding fully serviced, 1940's

This is a small mid-sized model,  typical for a men’s watch of the period, measuring just a shade under 30mm in diameter, but it’s jam packed full of character. Bought in Australia 25 years ago and has remained in my collection ever since, never worn. It has a sentimental engraving, which combined with its very good condition and the Unicorn brand, (which I knew had quite an affinity with Rolex at the time), was why I bought it. The production date for this watch (according the engraving) is 1942.
The solid rose gold case 9k, has normal wear (signs/dents/scratches), never polished, in very good overall condition. Back cover inside reads "HANDLEY 9ct". Remarkable is the way the back cover is closed and the coin design it has...(it remind me something)... 
The crown is probably newer and the original hands have lost most of their color. The dial is original, unrestored, with minor wear, in very good condition. 
The manually winding movement is in Excellent condition, has been fully serviced and works strong with great accuracy.
