In the 1990s and 2000's stenciling became a form of urban street art. Crews would typically target the ever present sidewalk construction safety bridges that dominated many streets in walking cities such as New York. Unlike freehand graffiti of the 70's and 80's, stenciling soon became more commercial in nature and was not perceived to be as offensive. Stencil in one hand, spray paint in the other, a construction street bridge could be tagged in seconds. Messages ranged from record label promotions, to concert advertising, to brand awareness or simply art for art sake. Banksy is the most well-known artist to emerge from the 1990s stenciling movement.

Excellent Condition. From a fashion collector, never left the closet. It has never been used nor washed. Recommendation: A washing is recommended prior to wearing. This denim was not pre-washed at the factory and there is a possibility the dye will run if it gets wet.
