Made 100 years ago, this set covers England and Wales (excluding map number 4, which would have specifically covered the Isle of Man only)

There are 39 numbered maps in all, along with the correct Index and Reference Book produced by the Ministry of Transport in 1923.

I have shown a random map opened up to its full size (ignore the knife and fork...these are just to give a comparison of scale, and are not included!)

The set is numbered 1 to 40, but as previously mentioned, map number 4 shown on the map grid printed in the Index and Reference book, is not included. 

The maps and booklet are in lovely condition, and contain lots of fascinating period details and information. 

The maps are produced on linen-backed paper, and are very strong and obviously durable, considering their age and condition.

The leather case is in lovely condition, as you can see in the photos.

This would make a fantastic addition to grace any vintage or veteran vehicle etc, as this was the only navigational aid available for motorists in the 1920's...the Sat Nav of the day!
