Heavy wear to exterior, with cloth rubbed and fraying at the spine ends and joints, corners bumped and rubbed, and some wear and soiling to boards. Spine cocked. Hinges tender. The '1857' date has been removed from the bottom of the title page, with corresponding wear to the paper where it had been. Occasional light foxing or minor stains to interior. Gutter partially exposed in places.
