Elizabeth I  Great Seal 1584 Nicholas Hilliard Solid Silver Box 

This is an extremely rare, possibly unique, solid silver box. The lid is the Great Seal of Elizabeth I designed by Nicholas Hilliard in 1584.

The seal is full size, the interior is gilded. There are no apparent hallmarks but the box is probably early to mid 1900's of very high quality.

CONDITION scratch marks beneath the lid, otherwise in good order - as per images

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
