TEE

This coin depicts a golfer taking his first shot off the tee using his driver. Selective colour highlights the fairway showcasing the different green hues of the fairway and rough behind the golfer in the foreground. The striking feature of the three dimensional golf ball appears to be in full motion heading towards the viewer. Across the top of the coin are the words Heritage - Sportsmanship – Respect– words that define the values of the PGA TOUR and the game of golf.

This coin is a part of a series of three low mintage sterling silver coins celebrating the game of golf. Each showcases a golfer at three different parts of the course. Selective colour and raised three dimensional golf ball images enhance the design and make these attractive and interesting. Collectibility is enhanced with the extremely low mintage of just 2,500. Even the packaging for these coins is exceptionally well done, with the coins presented in a unique golf ball shaped display case.

Other coins in the series includes 'Fairway' and 'Green.

Each coin in the series has a large 38.6 mm diameter and is struck in 20 grams of sterling silver. The coins have a $5 legal tender face value in Cook Islands, and include an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
