This is an amazing solid sterling silver serving piece with a flat round 3 1/4" diameter server hand engraved with a detailed floral arrangement. The handle is a Baltimore "Channel Back" popularized by the Klanks in the 1880s-90s. The pattern is often attributed to the Klanks, it is similar to the "Baltimore" and "Rose" patterns of others like Stieff and Schofield, but it is not. It is marked Sterling, no maker's mark. It is stamped by the retailer "Welsh & Bro" who had a store on Charles Street from about 1882 to 1910. There is nothing identical out there and very few similar.
