This type of fibre braided wire is used in high temperature applications such as gantry lighting and heating element connections. If you require the 2.5mm wire this can be found in our ebay shop. The maximum continuous length is 100 metres (one full roll). The wire colour is white.

The size refers to the cross section area of the conductor (not the actual diameter of the wire). There are many different factors that lead to selecting the correct sized wire and only a qualified electrical engineer could accurately specify however as a rough guide when sizing what wire you require 1.5 is usually ok for 15 amp, 2.5 for 25 amp and 4mm for up to 40 amp.
