This wardrobe item was the property of Sony Pictures Costume Department. Custom made by their costume rental department for a production taking place during a particular time period or an imaginary one.
Think of The Witcher, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, or any number of entertainment properties currently in production or that took place in or around a Medievalist-like time in history, but not historically medieval or if you like, it could have been during the Middle Ages or Middle Earth for that matter.
Real Deal Roadshow disclosure:
At the discretion of the new owner, there are some gaps around and under the sleeves where they might consider using a needle and thread to close up the seams. Overall, the sleeves of the costume appear securely attached to the body of the garment and the costume fabric material is excellent and similar to sackcloth, but much nicer and is not too heavy with a thickness that shouldn't be considered too heavy. Inside the garment, there are untrimmed threads as would be expected if a peasant folk garment were made during those times.
