The Starrett Micrometer has a gracefully designed tapered frame for use in narrow slots and tight places. It has a no-glare black finish on the frame with hard and stable one-piece spindle. It is furnished with a no-glare Starrett satin chrome finish on thimble and sleeve that minimizes annoying surface glare under bright lights and comes with micro-lapped carbide measuring faces. The balanced frame design ensures comfortable and accurate measuring with clear, easily read numbers to reduce errors. The anvil and spindle are sized at .250" (6.35mm). The combination ratchet and speeder is the perfect tool for quicker adjustment and uniform pressure. While the ring-type knurled lock nut provides quick, sure locking and improved grip.
