An excellent signed, numbered and beautifully framed paper lithograph titled "Status Symbols" by famed artist Howard Terpning. Depicting a native American Indian holding a hide shield. Quoted by the artist; "The figures and horses on the hide tell the story of this Indian's many war exploits. His war shield has powerful medicine and is a symbol of his belief in its power. The lance is a weapon of which he is proud." The signed original paper lithograph is #713 out of 1000 printed and dated 1982. The image is professionally framed with glass and matted with a brass plaque at the bottom with the engraved title of the drawing. The overall dimensions of the wood frame is 30 1/4" wide X 37" high. The lithograph itself is 20" w X 27" h with 19 3/4" w X 26" h visible with slight matting overlay. An impressive addition for a collector of fine Native American Indian art.
