A fine quality vintage theatrical waistcoat by the famous London Costumier Charles H Fox of HighHolborn 1878- 1893. He was famous in Victorian Era as a supplier of costumes to many London Theatres.  He also supplied wigs and disguise costumes - the company is still working today supplying mainly theatrical make-up and wigs.  
A Georgian style waistcoat probably made in 1890s.  
In pale pink brocade with a chevron pattern in the fabric and black braid trim down the front and along the hem.  The large pockets also have braid and button trim.  The waistcoat has black silk covered buttons - one button missing and some are worn.  
This is a vest front style so a front only with cotton ties to fasten at the neck and waist.  Lined with pale blue glazed cotton.  The makers label is in the lining. 
Size - a free fitting size due to the tie back style - best fit for chest size 40-42 inches.  Length from shoulder to hem 37 inches.
