Dutch Civil Defence Brodie Helmet Stamped VB 56 2SLN on Rim w/ Liner & Chin Strap This is a Dutch Civil Defence Helmet

modeled after the British Army Mk II. According to research, these helmets were produced for a short period by VerBliFa: Verennigde Blikfabrieken in the mid 50's. VerBliFa marked the helmets in the rim with VB 56 2SLN or a variation of this code. Very nice helmet is straight from a barn as you see it. I received 2 others with it that are listed separately. I am pretty sure it is all period original and is marked as seen. It looks like this spent some time filled with water, leaving some light rust as seen and some warping of liner components. Outside of shell is excellent.

A knowledgable eBay'er informed me this is a 1956 Dutch helmet and is complete and all original.
It is something unique and I consider it important and a reserve of international value.
