Royal Doulton Madeley Oval Tray SET of 2. These are somewhat rare as far as I can tell. English transferware made circa 1901-1922 based on this particular makers mark of the crown with the lion on top. The pattern is called Madeley.

Set of 2 oval platters in good condition. Both are missing nearly all of the gold decoration that they were first sold with. Some crazing and discoloration on larger platter, smaller platter has some scratches. Free from chips and cracks but both have some sticky residue that I believe was involved in some sort of display mechanism. I have removed some of it, but didn't want to risk removing the last of what little gold remains. Price reflects these flaws.

Smaller one measures 6 11/16" by 9" and larger one measures 8 1/2" by 11 1/4".
