These centres have grown over the years as urbanization has swelled the local population, but - and this is important to the identity of Chilliwack - people still say that they come from Vedder Crossing or Rosedale or Sardis. This book is an attempt to, at the very least, recognize that Chilliwack is a community of villages spread along these older heritage routes.".
