Author: Archibald Crawford

Publisher: Putnam, London

Edition: First Edition, First Printing

Date Printed: 1936

Description: Scarce. Andrew McAndrew, most loyal Scot and prominent in his clan....discovered the awful fact that his mother was not a Scot at all, but of Sassenach birth. He heads for London where he corners the market in political shirts. A great story that covers big business, political leadership, football mania, sex intrigue, spy mongering and militarism.

A nice example of the first printing of the first edition. Original cloth hardback in the original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is not price clipped, showing the original 7s 6d price to the inside of the front flap. It is in attractive condition with some wear and chipping (see pictures). The book itself is in very nice condition with bright covers, and a little bumping (see pictures). 307 pages. 7.5 inches by 5 inches. Book seller label to the inside of the front cover. Light toning to the prelims and page edges (see pictures). Free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square.

 A nice example.
