Gorgeous little leaf-shaped dish made by Carlton Ware of England in the 1940s or 50s. This is from the "Rouge Royale" line and is a deep burgundy color with mottled pink paint and gold veins and trim. It measures about 6 3/4" long and 5 1/2" wide, and 3/4" tall. It's in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and no wear to the decoration; it has some errant paint and crazing on the back side, but nothing on the front. I assume this is meant to be a candy dish but it could really be used for any small food item, and it would look especially great for Thanksgiving!
