This is a scarce and interesting book .

A fab read for anyone interested in local history or shipping , maritime , marine or nautical collectables or memorabilia .

This was written by Arthur Storey , a master mariner and an elder brother of Hulls Trinity House .

This is a First Edition from 1971 .

It is complete and readable and has the original plastic cover and dust jacket  . The blue cloth hard back cover is in excellent condition , and the book is in very good condition , the DJ has some discolouring at the top and down the folds .

This deals with the work and problems which confronted the brethren of the Guild in their endeavours to give vessels safe channels to the ports of the Humber , Ouse and Trent , this allowing the expansion of Docks , shipping and trade to Humberside .

This has many illustrations including maps , charts , diagrams and other images .
