This is a fabulous County Map by Thomas Moule . This was originally published in 1830 by Moule who was one of the most distinctive and best loved of the Early Victorian Map Makers .
His charming series of English County maps are as popular and collectable todayas they were when they first appeared .
They are both elaborate and decorative in style and this sets them apart from other maps from this period .
Moule is often compared to his distinguished c17th predecessors John Speed and Joan Blaeu.
This was taken from the new edition of Moules Maps and it combines a coloured map with the original text taken from Barclays Complete and Universal English Dictionary . This edition was published in 1991 .
The map measures 14 inches x 10 inches and it is in lovely condition .
Please see my other County Maps .
These look great framed .
