Offered here is an Aynsley Pottery Decorative Plate . It is commemorating 1917 to 1977 which is the Diamond Jubilee of the Order of the British Empire or OBE.
It has gilded designs and lettering and the centre reads For God and the Empire .
There are 5 crowns and GRVl and ER ll mottos . These represent King George all and Queen Elizabeth ll.
This is used but in excellent condition as it has been displayed in a cabinet . There are no chips , cracks or restoration and only light wear .
The back is printed with the details of the 4 Royal cyphers from the 4 monarchs that are represented .
The sea lions shown below the cross are taken from the collar of the order .
