Vintage GARRARD Record Player RC120 4D Deck Funky Yellow Case Grey Trim Vinyl.

The deck is in nice condition .

The case is a fabulous Yellow colour complimented with a grey / green contrasting diamond patterned Vinyl trim . This makes the piece , it is a Retro and decorative piece and would suit a contemporary or Retro interior .

The front speaker is a Bronze colour . It is in generally good condition , the case has a few marks and it would benefit from a very good clean .

This was in use up until about 10 years ago and has been in storage since . It was working but the cable had had a junction join so will need looking at by an electrician to make it safe as I have now cut the cable and there is no plug.

It has brass clips at the side , a Bakelite playing arm and turntable , the turntable has the original rubber cover . It can be run on manual or automatic and has 4 speeds , 16 , 33, 45 , & 78 .

The Brass identity disc reads Model RC 120 / 4D , schedule no 52830/5. 100/130V & 200/250V 16 Watts AC 125/25 Amp.Made in England . I do not know who the case was made by ( as this deck was placed in a number of cases ). I am told it dates to c1956.

If you want a Funky looking 1960s record player , you won’t find better .

It was tried with the join in the cable and the turntable turned intermittently and the arm didn’t move . I am told that it maybe the grease that has gone hard , but I am not practical so haven’t attempted a repair .

In summary we don’t know what the issue is but it is not working and is sold as for spares or repair.

Good Luck.

It will be packed internally to stop the arm etc moving around and it will be double boxed . We excel in providing a first class service with quality packing .
