Perambulationa walk around a territory (a parish or manor or forest etc.) in order to officially assert and record its boundaries. type of: walk. the act of walking somewhere. Also known as "beating the bounds."

This piece was made during a period when I felt like I was lugging around a lot - my identity heavy with baggage weighing me down.

It started off as an abstract placing (a collection of objects fit together to flow), and then the placings began to turn into figures moving, each one with its own distinct expressive emotion.

This piece is a great example of one of my guiding principles: "where intention and circumstance meet there is the accident that works" - initially there was just a body (no arm), but the pen capsule leaked, and left a streak of ink perfectly across the canvas with a hand at the end. Viola: this person is holding themself up a bit against the strain.

If you wanted to be taken somewhere you've already been, why look at art?
Art is about discovery, about feeling the moment where the artist leapt, and leaping with them.
