Together we can conquer any wave

The titled "Chidori" on this Wajima lacquer natsume refers to the plover bird.

Additionally, the Maki-e design depicts plovers on waves. In Maki-e symbolism, the plover represents a joyous married couple, family, or a group, while the waves symbolize life's challenges and fluctuations.

This design is regarded as a symbol of good luck, conveying the idea that together, like plovers riding the waves, one can overcome any difficulty.
