PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1954 Mexico 5 Pesos "Hidalgo" graded by PCGS at MS65 encapsulated in PCGS Gold Shield holder.

COMMENTS
Highly collectible "Hidalgo" 5 Pesos coin with stunning tone and fabulous eye appeal to go with this historical artifact. Of the years this item was produced (1951-1954), 1954 was the lowest mintage.  This was due to the mintage being stopped that year due to inflation, which led to the same size and silver content coin in 1955 being 10 Pesos.

The Obverse depicts the national arms of Mexico in the center with a legend around the upper portion of the coin and the silver content and purity divided by the emblem on both sides and the value in lettering underneath and the mintmark along with the date at the bottom.  The Reverse portrays Hidalgo's bust looking left surrounded by a laurel wreath.

Feel free to request other photos and we'd be happy to provide.  We shoot a couple sets on this one with different lighting characteristics but no filtering or doctoring - all natural photos!  As is the case with many gorgeous original coins and especially this one, it's not easy to capture their natural beauty.  As eBay sellers, we want to be sure there is no mystery with coin you are buying and do all we can to ensure the coin you receive is the coin you expect.
