The photos show the quality of the gorgeous hand engraving on the aluminum cheeks in the Buster Welch cutter style. This California Pleasure Reinsman bit features nicer quality engraving than the newer Reinsman bits currently available.
This bit features a swept back grazing style aluminum cheek with a 1 inch diameter engraved concho. This bit has 8 inch long cheeks with a 3 inch purchase for a 2.67 to 1 leverage ratio, a 5 inch wide by 1/2 inch diameter sweet iron California Pleasure 3 inch tall Cathedral "A" frame mouthpiece. The bit weighs in a a light 10.12 ounces. The close up photos show the makers mark above on the inside of the left shank.
This bit has been well maintained and lightly used with some minor wear to the the shanks from use, light rusting of the mouthpiece, and slight corrosion around the edge of the conchos. This stunning perfectly balanced bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
