Rare "swallow's tail" variety of the Order of the Red Banner of Battle of the USSR.

Option 1. "swallow's tail".  The decree of June 19, 1943 established the transition to a new system of fastening many orders, including the Order of the Red Banner.  However, by the time this Decree was issued, the Krasnokamsk Mint still had a number of already produced orders of the second type with a screw fastening.  It was decided to remake these signs for wearing on a block, in accordance with the text of the Decree.  The alteration was carried out by removing a segment of the reverse surface (without damaging the enamel on the obverse) and replacing it with a similar-shaped segment that had an eyelet for attaching a pendant block.  The segment with the eye was attached by soldering.  Some collectors call this option "dovetail" or "swallow".  The vast majority of these marks had the mint mark applied in two separate dies and the word "COIN" was curved upward (similar to Type 2, Option 3).  The minimum known number for such signs is 77483, the maximum is 84243. On some signs of this variant the number is cut off.

In the last photo there are two small chips along the edge of the enamel.
