The paintings have some minor wear, especially near the tops of each one. Overall, the two pieces are in very good to excellent condition. (Please see photos for condition.)
Each piece measures 24 x 14". Each piece comes ready to hang (in addition there are Velcro strips at the top of each piece). The artist makes bold use of reds and oranges. And thus, as the title suggests, the two-piece painting stirs imaginations of adventure. It features a lone ship as it sails past a sunsetting Japanese coastline and pagoda. You can hear the waves crashing and feel the sun's dwindling warmth. After this, you are left wondering what happens next?
Although it is signed, we cannot find with reasonable certainty who the artist is specifically. That is, we cannot say which Tok Yi this Tok Yi is. He is likely an unlisted artist. The name may even be a pseudonym. Even so, due to the quality, size, technique, and aesthetic appeal, fair market value of this piece would likely run up to $200+. However, we want it to find its way to your home for much less.
