For everyday adventures. The Herschel Retreat™ Mid-Volume is a sized-down take on a classic mountaineering backpack.

FEATURES:

• *The outer material is tough and is lined on the inside with a red and white candy strip textile.
• *There is a padded compartment for a small laptop/tablet (around 13" max).
• *The shoulder straps are strong but are very nicely padded, so tough nylon on one side and the underside it is padded mesh which is a really comfortable.
• *A surprisingly large main compartment for 16L, which looks larger than my 20L Osprey backpack. For a day out, school bag, etc it is perfect.
• *Easy access to the main compartment as the buckle is not a functioning buckle but it actually a magnetic closer with a draw cord under the hood.
