A masterpiece recording of Eric Clapton's encounter with the Yardbirds when he was a member, and a breathtaking session with them, is reprinted in US specifications!
Before Jeff Beck was a member, Sonny Boy Williamson was active with the Yardbirds as the backing band, which had just been joined by Eric Clapton, who was still a teenager, as lead guitar player.
This album, which includes the historic joint performance at Crawdaddy in 1963, is a recording of seven songs accompanied by the Yardbirds, who released their de facto debut album the following year (1964).
Featuring the young Yardbirds going head-to-head with Chicago blues master Sonny Boy Williamson, this is a timeless masterpiece that not only blues enthusiasts but also music fans who love rock music should listen to.
It's also fun to listen to and compare it with the three original songs included as bonus tracks. (MONO sound source)
