                       to ownership of vast lands in the southwest..............        .When William Atherton DuPuy was born on 6 January 1876, in Palestine, Anderson, Texas, United States, his father, Hugh McBride DuPuy, was 24 and his mother, Victoria A Miller, was 21. He married Ada Lee Orme on 27 June 1906, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He lived in Anderson, Texas, United States in 1880 and Washington D.C., United States for about 16 years. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 10 August 1941, at the age of 65, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, United States.
