Unger Bros Sterling Pin/Jewelry Tray
Design: Main in the Moon
Dimensions: 6.875 x 4.0"
Weight: 2.0 ounces

Man in the Moon is one of the more whimsical Unger Bros design motifs, and is not seen frequently. This tray design does a magnificent job depicting the Man in the Moon motif - whic is the Man in the Moon smoking a pipe, whose smoke encircles the moon and forms a beautiful maidens face. Perhaps the Man in the Moon dreamed her up out of loneliness - who knows!? It's marked with the intertwined UB followed by STERLING 925 FINE, on the edge to the back edge at the top (see photo). This exact tray appears in 1904 Unger Brothers catalog, but many of the items shown in that catalog had been made starting in the late 1880s, so it's difficult to establish an exact age, but it's safe to say it's well in excess of 100 years old.

Among my other listings, find 3 other items in this same design, along with an ultra rare tray in the Evangeline design motif, a Dawn talc jar, and an entire collection of the highly collectible Indian design motif. The last photos show some of the other items offered, but are not a part of this listing. We can work out a discount if you purchase more than one item.

I do not accept returns unless the items is not as described, however that is highly unlikely, as a provide detailed descriptions and photographs. Please enlarge and review the photos, as they are an integral part of the item description. I'm not a dealer, but just a collector who is regrettably selling some items due to financial hardship.

Shipping and insurance via USPS will occur within 3 business days of payment.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
