An antique sterling silver soup ladle by Gorham Silver Company in the “Colonial” pattern.  The hallmark indicates a manufacturing period between approximately 1875 and 1900 (as best as we can determine).

There is a "C" monogram on the handle in fancy script.  This pattern has been discontinued.

The bowl is gold washed, with gold essentially intact, and it has a capacity of approximately 4 fluid ounces.

The ladle is in very good condition, considering its age, with some noticeable scratches (from use) in the interior and on the verso of the bowl.  There is no significant damage to the well-crafted handle.

The ladle measures approximately 12 1/4 inches in length and weighs approximately 200 grams.
