Brewster Thompson, “The Rope Master,” is a world record holder for jumping rope
with the most weight on his back. His “feats of strength” performances have impressed
classrooms of kids as well as visitors to the South Lawn of the White House. He
is a two-time World Judo Champion competitor, Bronze Medal Winner in the Pan
American Games, a Senior National Champion, a Two-Time NCAA Judo Champion and
the 2001 World Masters Judo Champion (45-49). James is also an 18 year
practitioner and certified Sports Massage Therapist who utilizes both Swedish
and Shiatsu techniques.
01. Master the Ropes Volume 1: Basic Jumping
In this program, “The Rope Master” teaches the benefits of jumping rope for kids, warm-ups and stretches. Instruction is designed specifically for young children and teenagers. Includes rope tricks, single bounce, speed step, double side swing, full twist, the criss-cross, skier jump, side straddle, 180 turn, whip, 360 turn, caboose cross, lariats, and wraparounds. 02. Master the Ropes Volume 2: Advanced Jumping
In this program, “The Rope Master” teaches the benefits of jumping rope for adults, warm-ups and stretches. Instruction is designed specifically for adults. Includes rope tricks, single bounce, speed step, double side swing, full twist, criss-cross, skier jump, side straddle, jumping jacks with a cross, whip, heel to heel alternating feet, can-can, wallow (side kick), heel to toe, double unders and double unders to a side swing. 03. Master the Ropes Volume 3: Muscle Endurance & Sports Massage Techniques
In this program, “The Rope Master” teaches the benefits of jumping rope to achieve muscle endurance. His instruction includes skills and drills needed to maximize performance. As a practicing massage therapist for over 18 years, he will demonstrate valuable massage techniques that will work into all warm-up and cool-down training routines.
