Japanese Bronze 1924 1Sen Coin Paulownia Crest Taisho 13 Polished

A guaranteed authentic and rare antique Japanese One Sen bronze coin minted in Tokyo 1924. In Japan this is the 13th years of the Taisho era "大正十三年" (during the reign of Emperor Yoshihito.) Having the characters, "Dai Nippon" (Great Japan) with a clear crest of the paulownia mon (a famous family crest) in the center. On the obverse chrysanthemum blossoms and ー錢 "one sen". Chrysanthemum blossoms symbolize Japan's imperial family and are often used on currency.

Overall, these coin are in fine condition with minimal wear, a very clear strike and having with a nice patina. Measures 7/8" in diameter (2.1 cm). Approximately the size of a US quarter.
