About the company Holz Wenzel

After completing his apprenticeship, the trained sawmill worker initially worked in his aunt Martha Wenzel's toy company. This company has been making wooden toys for over 100 years. Mr. Bernd Wenzel completed a master's course in wooden toys and took over the company with 6 employees in 1980. Since only scooters and tricycles were part of the production range at that time, we had to think about how these could be expanded and expanded. After 1989, Bernd Wenzel set about looking for new customers with great enthusiasm. He presented his expanded product range primarily at trade fairs. His stable and imaginatively designed scooters, tricycles, doll prams, ride-ons and many other toys were not only met with great interest by children. The beautifully designed children's toys, all made of wood, are particularly popular because of their rusticity and are sought after far beyond the country's borders. Large sales companies became aware of him and listed his products. Kindergarten outfitters order toys and parts for children's furniture in Friedebach. The toy storage and production halls became far too small for the expanded range. The new construction of our timber sawmill made it possible to place the wooden toys directly in the old sawmill building. The renovation began in 1999 and was completed at the end of 2000. This means that both parts of the company are united at one location. With their new wooden toy company, they will be able to respond to their customers' wishes more quickly and flexibly and produce more cost-effectively. Cutting the beech yourself and drying it in a drying room is a significant step forward for your wooden toys. There are currently 20 workers employed in both companies.
